While we welcome interest from any school in the Rio Grande Valley, our primary focus is supporting Title I campuses and schools with limited resources that are committed to building a sustainable chess program.
Schools are evaluated based on factors such as financial need, administrative support, student interest, and the availability of a teacher or staff member to help lead the program. When possible, we also match schools with local businesses or community sponsors to ensure the program can thrive for years to come.
