Building the Future: RGV Chess and Learning Center
RGV Chess and Learning Center is currently in the planning and development stage as we work to create a dedicated space for chess education, academic support, and youth enrichment in the Rio Grande Valley. While we do not yet have a physical location, our mission is clear: to build a nonprofit center where children can grow as thinkers, students, and leaders.
Our vision is to provide structured chess instruction, tutoring, mentorship, and community programs in a safe and inspiring environment. We are actively developing partnerships, seeking sponsors, and engaging the community to make this vision a reality.

Our Future Services
As we work toward opening the RGV Chess and Learning Center, our programs will focus on three core areas:
Whether students come to play chess, complete homework, or receive extra academic support, our goal is to create a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and build confidence after school.
A fun and structured chess program designed for all skill levels — from students learning how the pieces move to those preparing for tournaments. Through interactive lessons, friendly games, and guided competition, students will strengthen critical thinking, build confidence, and develop a love for the game.
We aim to bring students, families, and the local community together through chess! Friendly tournaments, family game nights, and school outreach programs will provide opportunities to connect, have fun, and celebrate the joy of chess together.
